EQ – Inborn or Acquired?

Emotional intelligence is a term introduced to psychology already in 1990 by American graduates of Harvard University – John Mayer and Peter Salavey. However, it was not until the last few years that the concept was attributed to great importance and popularized. In order to get better acquainted with it, even soft HR training began.

But can such actions result? Can EQ be learned? That's right! Every man is born with a certain inherent level of emotional maturity. However, it can be constantly practiced and developed. As a result, it is possible to gain greater awareness of their own and other behaviours. Expanding these competences will facilitate career development.

Employees with developed emotional intelligence bring many benefits to the company, so it is worth investing in them.
