The difficult economic situation of many companies and the number of applications for funding under the Crisis Shield leave no illusions. We are moving rapidly from the labour market to the labour market crisis.

Difficulties caused by COVID-19, HR departments have to deal with, among other things, the reduction of salaries, job losses, online recruitment or freezing of training. The current situation of HR employees employed in law firms is also not pink, although in this respect – slightly better than in most industries, among other things, because lawyers cope well with remote work, and large facilities of changing regulations create demand for legal services.

Reduction in wages

Human Resources employees can expect reduced wages. This is confirmed by the survey conducted by the Recruitment magazine in April this year It asked HR staff and recruitment agencies whether they were offered a lower rate. The wage reduction confirmed around 18% tested.

It is worth remembering that the employer, in order to introduce such a solution, must comply with legal regulations in this area. The reduction in remuneration may not exceed 50%, and the remuneration must not be less than the minimum wage for work.

Reduction of posts

Reductions in working time are also expected. The reason is that recruitments in many companies are stopped, so there is no need for such work. Employers can reduce working time by 20%, However, not more than 0.5 A job. A staff member with reduced employment should be paid a salary of not less than the minimum salary for work.

Online recruitment talks

Online recruitment talks are a daily thing. What? fourth announcement on Pracuj.pl tagged with “online recruitment” and “online recruitment”. Fortunately, many remote encounter applications are free. These include Skype, WhatsApp, Viber Messenger or Microsoft Teams.

Such a solution has its advantages, such as time savings and flexibility in the term of conversation. Unfortunately, electronics have what they like to fail. You must be prepared to interrupt the connection, poor image or sound quality. There is a risk of an insufficiently competent candidate.

Without two sentences, talking face to face allows you to analyze it more thoroughly. Moreover, traditional meetings cannot be completely eliminated, as they are necessary when signing contracts. For example, regulations do not allow for the signing of employment contracts and contract-contracts with foreigners remotely.

Recruiters should not be worried about informing about the dismissals of criminal lawyers. Those mentioned will not complain about lack of class

Freeze training

For the majority of HR employees, epidemics mean fewer trainings for which the organisation has paid so far. Training in this industry is necessary to avoid becoming confused with new regulations, including labour law.

Faster verification of candidates

Employment agencies note a shorter period of verification of candidates' competences. Before the outbreak lasted about 2 weeks. This was due to the lower availability of candidates for meetings and online conversations. The process is now considerably shortened.

Less demand for employment agency services

Another result of coronavirus is the loss of customers, which has already been achieved by almost half of the surveyed recruiter magazine. In addition to the fact that fewer employers are looking for new members of the teams, there is less desire to change jobs among those who have maintained their existing positions.

In times of epidemic, the ambitions of Poles lose their fight against common sense. Employment agencies lose their customers because some companies, as part of their savings, give up outsourcing activities by recruiting on their own.

Workers ready to work without medical examinations

There are difficulties with the medicine of work. In the case of basic positions for which there is currently a high demand, the duration of preliminary studies is extended. Companies are looking for new medical facilities to direct staff to research as soon as possible. This is a serious obstacle for HR departments that can delegate a new employee to perform their duties only if he has a complete set of documents.

Less redundancies due to employee leasing

The pandemic period is characterized by fluctuations in the number of orders and thus the amount of work to be done. An antidote for these uncertain times may prove to be so-called employee leasing. The owner of the company may hire another entrepreneur during a period of lower demand. That way, fewer people can lose their livelihood.

Greater care for data protection

The human resources industry in particular has contact with personal data. At a time when you can learn every day about the quarantine of the workplace or the remote work until further notice, the principle of a clean desk is particularly respected, which is not to leave any documents in visible places.

HR situation in the legal sector

The legal sector is one of those who were easier to introduce remote work, due to the office nature of the work. In this situation, HR departments in law firms had to ensure in particular proper communication between employees.

Recruiters should not be worried about informing about the dismissals of criminal lawyers. Those mentioned will not complain about lack of class. Because of coronavirus, crimes and misdemeanors are committed massively. These are mainly situations of breaking the ban on leaving home during quarantine, fraud “on the coronavirus”, data theft, etc. For lawyers, the way a client is represented before a court does not belong in the present reality to the simplest due to the limited functioning of the institution.

Unprecise provisions on health and safety are causing many concerns. Unaltered by the speciality, adapting the market to the effects of the pandemic, they explicitly refer only to workers employed under the employment contract. This may raise concerns for recruiters in law firms where B2B contracts are very often offered.

Finally, it is worth noting that well-managed companies that had a financial pillow do not slow down. On the contrary, they wind up in sails and recruit for new positions – just like Russell Bedford Poland.
