The tax burden should be reduced by any non-legal means – according to the conference entitled “Borders of Optimisation” held 9 May 2018 Łódź.
The problem of tax optimization limits focused representatives of the government side, as well as representatives of local governments and the world of science. The conference was co-organised by the Łódź Branch of the National Tax Advisors Chamber and the Regional Branch of the Polish Chamber of Experts in Łódź.
The advisers wanted to make the legislators aware that they were opposed to aggressive optimization, while they believe that entrepreneurs should have a choice of tools that would enable them to pursue any legitimate means of tax reduction.
Advisors and auditors pointed out that legal harassment by the state drastically limits optimization possibilities, which will be extremely detrimental to the development of business in Poland.
Dr Andrzej Dmowski, tax advisor and partner at Russell Bedford, pointed out, among others, the split payment, which will seal the VAT system, but will not cover all payments. Will be.
one with these tools that will make business difficult to operate and probably for some investors will be a scare to discourage them from investing in our country.
However, as Professor Adam Mariańsk, President of the National Tax Advisory Board, stressed, "tax advisors uphold the rights of taxpayers to pay the correct amount of tax, neither more nor less.
And it is the right of the taxpayer to exercise all the rules allowing the choice of forms and rules of taxation, even if this leads to the payment of a lower tax.’
A survey conducted during the conference indicated an important premise – the majority of participants considered that the only limit of optimization was law, not other factors, such as political ones.
In response to the votes of the local government advisors to the Ministry of Finance, he announced that he would consult on the limits of optimization in order to issue guidelines on this issue.
