Support for innovative companies in Horizon 2020 to be an opportunity for small and medium-sized companies to be assessed as having strong growth potential based on innovative technologies, products or services.
Any company that has an unusual idea and intends to implement it on the European and global markets may seek funding for which in years 2018-2020 approximately 1,600,000,000 EUR. The proposed innovative solution should address a specific problem or fill a market gap.
There are also preferred solutions which place high on the technological readiness scale (TLR) 6 – „Demonstration of the product – demonstrations were carried out in similar conditions to the actual one’. Both individual SMEs may apply, but national or international consortia that consist of SMEs are also possible.
Financing concerns 70% the total cost of the project application. In addition to monetary support, the programme also provides free business coaching and access to a range of services related to the acceleration of business activity and the commercialisation of innovation.
