In summary of what happened in the law in February, we stop at the issue of tightening penalties in the penal code. It is also worth referring to the latest modification of the Ministry of Justice, which introduces the KRS newsletter, which aims to increase legal security.
Tomasz Mankiewicz discusses for our readers the draft bill on amending the Act – Criminal Code and other laws. It is so important to the carnists that it introduces new forms of punishment that cause some controversy. The most attentive change is to eliminate penalties (Article 32 (k) penalties 25 years of imprisonment, a separate type of punishment and an extension of the term of imprisonment to 30 years.
In addition to these rather unfortunate changes, the Ministry of Justice also introduces a legal protection tool, namely the KRS newsletter. In the e-mail summary entrepreneurs and lawyers will be able to view simultaneously to 50 entities.
The newsletter will signal events such as registration of a case concerning a particular entity or entry in the KRS. Only basic information available to the public in registration files and in the National Court Registers will be sent in this way.
The person who receives such information will be able to consult the details of the case by looking at the records or current or full details of the entity entered in the KRS. Entrepreneurs assess this change positively and call for further legal solutions that will limit the theft of companies, including cybersecurity.
