The mushroom season has begun. This involves more frequent walks in the forest and the enjoyment of its charms, which in turn requires compliance with several principles. If we don't consider them, instead of a basket full of mushrooms – we can go home with a ticket of even height 500 PLN.
Rules of conduct in forest areas are governed by the Act of 28 September 1991 About the woods. We describe the most important of them.
When are we not going into the woods?
Collecting mushrooms is the favorite entertainment of many Poles. Remember, however, that forchbearers may introduce a periodic ban on entering the forest in third situations. We have no right to be in the woods when:
- • the site chosen by us is damaged;
- • a fire hazard is present at this site;
- • works are carried out in connection with the logging of forests, its breeding or conservation.
Due to the specificity of the site, the ban on entering the forest can be permanent. This is the case where:
- • forest crops have to 4 m height;
- • the forest is experimental surfaces and seed stands;
- • the area is an animal stable;
- • on its surface are springs of rivers and streams;
- • These are areas at risk of erosion.
To avoid punishment, attention should be paid to markings. Forests subject to permanent or periodic entry ban shall be marked with ‘not allowed’.

Cars only in parking lots in the woods
Another restriction on the movement of forests (both private and state-owned) is the ban on cars entering roads other than public roads. The use of forest roads shall be permitted only if they are marked with appropriate signs allowing such movement.
Stopping of vehicles on forest roads shall be permitted only at marked places. This is intended to ensure the free entry of rescue vehicles, such as fire fighting vehicles.
The movement of motor vehicles, sleds and mopeds in the forest regulates in detail Article 29. the abovementioned law. For entering the forest by a motor vehicle there is a penalty 500 PLN the mandate.
Forest destruction also severely punished
Important information is that you can get a ticket for, for example, picking a fungus. A dry fungus should be able to remove the fungus so skillfully that it does not destroy the forest rune. It is also unacceptable to scare wild animals, destroy trees, shrubs or vegetation. For such wrongdoing, a fungus can be given a penalty ticket.
Its height is within the limits of 20 to 500 PLN. If more offences are committed, a mandate to 1,000 PLN. The Forest Guard also has the right to refer the case to court. Then the fine rises to 5,000 PLN.
The list of offences that can be committed in the loss of walking in the woods is considerable, and the penalties for their execution are high. However, usually first misconduct ends only with a instruction from the service to the designated one. In the era of automation, it is not only people who are guarding the order and the order of the forest. They are helped by phototraps, night vision cameras and drones. All so that the charm of forests can be enjoyed as long as possible.
