According to him, providing taxpayers with a greater sense of security and introducing mediation as a way of explaining the disputed issues – instead of rigid and undisputed decisions – will heal taxpayers' relationship with offices.

The tax advisors' environment calls for such protection by monitoring the abuse of the law by tax authorities. "We have a number of discussions on how the taxpayer and the tax authority cooperate," says Prof. Mariański.
