Russell Bedford Poland in cooperation with Albert Bezak's Attorney's Office invites you to participate in the free building day event – a meeting to be held as part of the RB-entrepreneurs meeting cycle, on the day 16 February 2023 in the Katowice headquarters of Russell Bedford Poland Sp. z o.o. at Lompy Street 14.
The main theme will be the valorisation of remuneration from the construction contract. The outbreak of the war in Ukraine, and earlier pandemic, resulted in a significant increase in the cost of works built by increasing the prices of materials, equipment and labor costs, which significantly affected the costs of execution of contracts.
Very often, this fact causes in economic operators, a loss which undermines the calculation carried out at the tender stage, taking into account ordinary and foreseeable contractual risks, and more ultimately significantly affects the financial condition of the contractors.
During brief speeches, the advisors will explain to you the out-of-court and judicial methods of increasing remuneration from the construction contract. We will also discuss a bill that came into force on the day 10 November 2022, i.e.
laws amending certain laws to simplify administrative procedures for citizens and entrepreneurs who, inter alia, introduces the possibility of amending the agreement in relation to with a significant change in the price of materials or costs associated with the performance of the public contract.
After speeches, individual consultations with advisors are possible (ca. 30 min).

Conductor:
ALBERT BEZAK – a lawyer, has many years of experience in comprehensive handling of construction contracts, including FIDIC-based ones. He is involved in dispute resolution and enforcement of claims in the field of construction contracts.
It represents contractors and subcontractors, conducting negotiations and judicial processes in the field of claims for additional works, increasing remuneration due to increased costs, additional costs due to the extension of performance of the contract, and defence against unjustified contractual penalties.
He also specialises in public procurement law, advising entrepreneurs in tendering at the stage of submission of tenders, explanations and at the stage of proceedings before the National Appeals Chamber by drawing up legal protection measures and replacing them with the National Appeals Board.
