„Taxes and business expansion" is a topic of competition work 10. – jubilee – edition of the contest "Tax leaders". Students and graduates of legal and economic fields will present their ideas for changing the tax system, which will make it easier for companies to accelerate growth and expansion into new markets. In this edition of the Competition, the possibility of solving an analytical task in the field of taxation economics also appears. It depends on the decision of the participants, which form of competition work they choose.
In response to a strong interest in competition and pandemic situation, the deadline for sending work and other necessary documents to participate in the competition was extended by two weeks - to 14 December 2021
In order to facilitate the participation of interested parties, we decided to extend the deadline for submitting applications for two weeks. It will be an additional time for candidates to prepare competition papers and send them to us – says Deputy Finance Minister Jan Sarnowski.
This year, the topic of competition work is tax support for business expansion. Expanding is not only the start of business in foreign markets, but also the change in the subject matter, its start in other sectors of the economy, at another level of the supply chain. The decision to enter a new market is often very difficult for the entrepreneur. There is a high risk, although there is also the possibility of a significant increase in profits.
The question of what tax solutions can help companies to decide to start expansion into new markets will be answered by Tax Leaders this year.
It's a Jubilee, now. 10. edition of the “Tax to Leaders”. In the past nine views participated 405 selected 118 winners. Many of them decided to stay in the Ministry of Finance and continue working in the public administration.
Look out! Responding to numerous requests, Organizer of the Competition based on section 4. section 2 The Rules of Procedure of the Competition decided to extend the deadline for sending work and other necessary documents to the competition 14 December 2021
Participation in the competition
A written competition work entitled “Taxes and Business Expansion” or a solution to the analytical task (assessment of tax reform supporting innovative business activities) submitted to 14 December 2021 through the application form.
Look out! Written work must not exceed two A-format pages[4], font 12, and the analytical task must be solved in the Stata package or the R environment. The report should not be longer than 4 page A[4].
Include a CV and a copy of a document confirming the status of a student/graduate in the field of legal or economic sciences (e.g. a certificate from a university confirming the status of a student or a scan of a graduation diploma).
Competition schedule
on 14 December 2021 – notification deadline (Note! extended deadline!)
on 31 December 2021 – information about the deadline of talks with the authors of selected competition works,
11–20 January 2022 – interviews,
on 21 January 2022 – publication of the results on the website of the Ministry of Finance.
