The past months are mostly circulating topics around Polish Deal, which we also refer to. We look at the provisions of the pocovid law project in terms of threads that directly affect entrepreneurs.
In this issue, we remind you of the state of the project in terms of changes concerning what most affects the owners of companies or persons running jdg, that is, contributions zus. We also write about how Polish Deal interferes with transfer prices. The summary of the original version of the plan, which appeared to us in summer, now allows us to capture some changes more easily.
Although tax changes with Polish Deal dominated public discourse, it is also worth to stop at the amendment of the Civil Procedure Code. The civil procedure is to be improved by simplifying the provisions on the preparatory meeting.
They are currently unclear, and the interpretation of the matter is particularly questionable by directing matters to a secret meeting. The provisions introduced are intended to clarify this, so a secret meeting can be convened if the party does not need to be heard and if the evidence collected is sufficient to be resolved.
Important in the amendment is that a new quota threshold should be introduced for a certain amount of the value of the dispute. After the amendment, the district courts are to settle cases where the value of the dispute is above 150,000 PLN (currently it is 75,000 PLN).
The Act amending the Act – Code of Civil Procedure and some other laws is currently in the public consultation phase.
