The relief for industrial robotics is aimed at companies wishing to improve production by using modern, technologically advanced equipment. The aim of such relief is to increase the number of robots in production and thus increase its productivity and reduce costs.
Preparation by the Ministry of Development and Ministry of Finance the robotization relief was to be introduced from 1 January 2021 This idea was resumed during the presentation of the assumptions of the Polish Deal.
Who will benefit from the relief?
The relief for industrial robotics is intended to cover Polish companies. It is particularly important for those companies that have not invested in robots so far due to the need to invest too much.
A newly introduced tax credit can be used by a company that will buy and install an industrial robot. The relief is to be for all companies, regardless of size or industry. Furthermore, it is worth noting that the relief will include PIT and CIT payers.
How does relief work?
This solution provides that entrepreneurs who decide to modernise the industrial plant will be able to deduct 50% costs incurred for investments in robotics.
The costs of such a modern investment include:
- • the purchase or leasing of robots and cobots,
- • purchase of the necessary software,
- • purchase of equipment (e.g. road tracks, rotors, drivers),
- • purchase related to Safety and Health at Work,
- • training for workers to operate robots.
The cost of robotization of the entrepreneur will be able to deduct during the tax year. It will be necessary to make an additional copy when submitting the annual tax return.
The labour relief is intended to bring Poland closer to European standards
From 2018 density of robots in the processing industry in Poland (expressed in number of robots per 10,000 employees), differ significantly from the average in other countries, such as the Czech Republic and Hungary. The robotic relief is supposed to equalize the level.
Tax support for industrial robotics can be a key argument for foreign investors. Thanks to it they will be more willing to move their productions to Poland. The relief will increase competitiveness in the internal and international markets.
