Persons to 1 June 2020 They will pay PIT tax for 2019, They won't have to pay interest on the delay. The Minister of Finance signed the relevant regulation.
- There will be no interest on late payment due to the annual PIT settlement for the previous year. This is our next action to make it easier to comply with the tax obligation in this difficult time – says Minister Tadeusz Kościński. The Regulation relates to the absence of sanctions in the event of submission of a PIT statement and settlement to 1 June this year (31 May 2020 it's Sunday – a public holiday, so the deadline goes on Monday, i.e. 1 June 2020).
The regulation in this case provides for no interest to be charged on late payments from 1 May 2020 to 1 June 2020 on tax arrears on personal income tax. This applies to taxpayers testifying PIT-36, PIT-36S, PIT-36L, PIT-36LS, PIT 37, PIT-38 and PIT-39.
Equally with the payment will be credited with overpayment or tax refund during that period.
