With overall score 85.24, Singapore occupied first place in terms of easy enforcement of contracts.

Singapore kept second place in terms of business ease in this year's World Bank report "Doing Business: Training for Reform".

With overall score 85.24, Singapore occupied first place in terms of easy enforcement of contracts. With regard to facilitating the payment of taxes in this country, Singapore was promoted by one location relative to the position of last year's survey.

17 edition of the World Bank Doing Business report assesses regulations on domestic companies in 190 economies by classifying them based on 11 criteria affecting the ease of business in any jurisdiction. Member companies Russell Bedford, including Singapore member Steven Tan Russell Bedford PAC, contributed to the report by collecting data on tax regulations, recent reforms and tax burdens for entrepreneurs and businesses worldwide.

Andrew Lim, managing partner of Russell Bedford's member company Steven Tan Russell Bedford PAC commented: “It is encouraging that Singapore still persists in first Tens in areas of most direct investor interest – protecting shareholder interests, enforcing contracts, and maintaining a friendly business environment".
