Consent of the European Commission is a great success of Poland and another step towards the promotion of zero-emission transport among Poles," said Minister Krzysztof Tchorzewski in Brussels. He also recalled that the Polish government is consistently promoting electromobility and that the Ministry of Energy will soon launch funding from the Low-Emission Transport Fund for this market.
On 18 December 2018 The European Commission submitted a position to the Polish side, according to which the proposed act by the Ministry of Energy 11 January 2018 on electromobility and alternative fuels, regulations do not constitute State aid and are allowed to apply them.
Under the law, a passenger car driven by electricity, hydrogen and until the day is released from excise duty 1 January 2021 a passenger car constituting a hybrid vehicle.
In the case of depreciation it will be possible to apply a favourable rate for electric passenger cars to the value of the car below the equivalent 225,000 PLN.
These regulations are part of a broader package of benefits for the electromobility market, prepared in the framework of the implementation of the Strategy for Responsible Development and the Electromobility Development Plan in Poland.
